The town is located east of the northern tip of the island approximately 35km from the Airport. Corralejo is one of Fuerteventura's busiest resorts.
Corralejo has grown rapidly over the past years as both a Resort and a Ferry Port with frequent Ferry services to Lanzarote being offered by two companies. The port also offers an array of Marine Excursions and activities as well as trips to the nearby island Lobos. You can still find some of the original houses in the town, these are simple and quaint but most have now been transformed into shops and restaurants.
Corralejo has, by far, the best nightlife on the Island with plenty of varied entertainment catering to most tastes and ages. The Centro Comercial Atlantico on the Avenida General Franco has many Discos, Bars, and even Karaoke bars.
Nearby there is a small square which is called La Placita, where you will find many open-air restaurants and bars offering something a bit more romantic and less rowdy than the nearby Centro Atlantico.
There are several pleasant beaches in the centre of Corralejo, however the real attraction are the 'Grandes Playas' or 'Dunas de Corralejo' to the south of the resort, this enormous expanse of white sand is just a short ride or hike away from the main resort. Surfers, Windsurfers and Kitesurfers have left their mark on the Town in terms of a general laid-back feel to the place.
Corralejo caters for all ages and there's a wide variety of things to do, from watersports, tennis, Glass bottom boat trips, Ferry trips to Lanzarote, Jeep Safaris, Island tours, Mountainbiking, Motorbike tours etc..
And last but not least for all our families, there is a newly opened Waterpark which is worth visiting, at the southern end of the Resort.
